Our Vision

Agriculture is facing a challenge greater than ever before in human history: feeding 9.5 billion people in 2050 with less water, chemical fertilisers, fossil fuels and phytopharmaceutical products, all in an environment of global warming and scarcity of arable land.

In response to this challenge, Mycophyto offers a range of innovative solutions to optimize natural biological balances and increase the resilience of agricultural systems.

Our Aim: to help develop a new agriculture that meets social, environmental and economic expectations.

Our natural biological products and our technological prediction and decision support tools allow us to restore biological diversity to agro-ecosystems in the long term .

UNRIVALLED KNOW-HOW

MYCOPHYTO, a spin-off of the INRAE (National Institute for Agronomical Research) and UCA (University of the Cote d’Azur), combines the latest knowledge in the life sciences and technological innovation. This start-up develops patented solutions for the implementation of indigenous arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMFs) in crops in order to restore durable natural synergies with the plant roots.

Mycophyto is supported by dynamic key players including: world renowned scientists, mixed research institutes, technical and training institutes and agricultural ambassadors.

WHO ARE WE?

MYCOPHYTO was co-founded in 2017 by Justine Lipuma, Doctor of Microbiology and Christine Poncet, Agricultural engineer. A spin-off of INRAE (INRA) and UCA (University of the Cote d’Azur) it has received more than 12 prizes since its’ creation.

MYCOPHYTO develops, produces and proposes to agricultural professionals effective biological solutions by adapting scientific knowledge to the mychorrhizal symbiosis.

In 2019, MYCOPHYTO brought in new partners to aid its’ development.
